Saturday Shopping Day

For several days I've been away from my computer and creative corner. Some of you already know that my precious little baby-dog is ill and we've been shuttling between the vet and home most of this time. Today she's feeling a bit better and I have a free minute to show you some of my recent creations.

It's a shorter version from one of my most popular designs.

Bracelet with agate and beaded beads. Custom order.

And finally the necklace with agate slice, agate cabochons, black onyx, vintage glass scarabs and a lot of seed beads. Backed with black natural leather. Quite large and heavy piece.
I still don't have a name for it. Do you have any great ideas?

Saturday Shopping Day

For the whole week I've been working on a large necklace, but it's still far away from being ready. So, today I'll show you couple of smaller items that I made while taking a break from my big project.

First up is a pair of earrings. They are black, gold and elegant. Antiqued glass cabochon is the middle, Japanese seed beads around, plus, two sparkling crystal beads and gold-filled findings.

The second of the small items that I made this week is a bead embroidered barrette - Quite Earth. It has the most beautiful pietersite cabochon with amazing colors and pattern on it. I also added two 8mm ocean jasper beads, Czech seed beads and natural leather backing. The barrette is 7.5 cm long and I think it will look beautiful with many different outfits.

Join us for Saturday shopping at zsazsazsu!

Now I'm going back to my worktable, as there is a necklace calling for me. :)

Have a nice day!

Saturday Shopping Day

It's Saturday again and it means that we again go shopping with Sandra from zsazsazsu. ;)

This week I don't have only three new pieces to show you, but each and every of them is very special.

I would like to start with Forgotten World - large bead embroidered pendant with ammonite fossil, crystal, very long and playful fringe and natural leather backing. It' definitely one of my favorite pieces. Every time I get the courage to use one of my ammonites, the jewelry piece turns out to be special. In my opinion, ammonites are very challenging materials to work with and they like to be surrounded only with the best of my supplies.

Next I'd like to show you Majestic Swan earrings. They are very simple, only two colors - white and tarnished silver. Two tiny vintage cabochons, Japanese seed beads and sterling silver findings. They are also my entry for Etsy European Street Team weekly challenge. This time the theme is wedding, you can see other beautiful entries here.

And last, but not the least is this sweet Peach Nectar set of brooch and earrings. It's cute, but practical, work with many different outfits and for variety of occasions. Ocean jasper, freshwater pearls, glass beads, Japanese seed beads and sterling silver findings.

Thank you for shopping with me and Sandra! Enjoy your Saturday! ;) See you next week!

Winter Sunset - jewelry set

I made this simple set of brooch and earrings right after New Year. I've always liked magnesite stone for it's creamy white color and beautiful amber brown patters. I don't know why, but I always see some kind of winter landscape in these stones. This time I saw misty sunset shining in the foggy air.

Besides magnesite I also used small agate beads, glass seed beads, sterling silver earwires and soft ultrasuede backing in matching color.

It turned out pretty good, a bit more simple than I originally planned, but I'm very happy with the result. I also opened new section in my Etsy store - Sets. From now on I'll put all the jewelry sets there instead of each item in separate category.

I have couple of more rather simple pieces in progress on my table. Hope I can show you something new already this week.

I also have a new blog button, you can see it on the right side. Grab it, if you like! ;)

Happy beading!

Inspired by...

Do you remember the swap I recently participated in? If no, then let me remind you that I swapped a pair of bright bead embroidered earrings for a beautiful felted brooch by Dagmara Buczek.

I enjoy this brooch very much and wear it almost every day. And this beautiful color combo just doesn't leave my mind, so I made a pair of earrings with similar design of the ones I swapped, but in the color scheme of the brooch that I received. Sounds complicated. :)) But take a look, this is the result.

And, of course, I named them after the beautiful lady, whose creation inspired me. You can see more pictures of Dagmara Earrings and read the description here.

If you haven't tried doing swaps yet, you definitely should! They are fun and very inspirational!

Happy swapping! ;)

My EST Challenge entry

Here is my entry for this week's challenge. The theme is Morocco, so I created these bright and daring Flavors of Morocco earrings.

Spicy mix of deep blue mountain "jade" cabochons, yellow, red, bronze and violet seed beads, copper findings, howlite "turquoise" drops and soft ultrasuede.

You can check all the gorgeous entries here.

Thank you for looking! ;)

Working on orders...

Recently I've been working on custom orders for one of my wonderful customers. So, here's what I've made this far.

A bracelet with real leather and fragment of Mucha's beautiful art.

A ring with picasso jasper to match the pendant she bought earlier.

And turquoise earrings with sterling silver posts to accompany previously purchased bracelet.

I really hope she likes at least something so I can finally mail them and focus on creating couple of new things for my Etsy store.

Blue again :)

I don't know what's going on, but I can't stop making blue jewelry this summer. Please, someone, coma and take away all my blue beads. Ah, not too much left anyway. :))

One more pair of blue earrings. I called them Blue Dreams. The rhinestones sparkle really nice in the sun, so you can watch them and slip into your daydreams. ;)

I especially like how they look on.

I'm off to raid my bead stash for some another colors. :)))

Viola Tricolor - Earrings

Viola Tricolor or other known as Heartsease and Johnny Jump Up is one of my favorite small flowers. It grows wild, and also in gardens. This year I even have it in my balcony. I got inspired from the color combination and made these bright summer earrings.

Yellow rhinestones in the middle, tiny violet seed beads and 4 mm jade beads around, light ultrasuede backing and gold-plated earwires.

Begonias in May - Earrings

One more pair of bright summer earrings. I was going through my treasure box and found some plastic buttons somewhere from 80's. Then I transformed them into nice cabochons and embroidered around using two colors of Japanese seed beads, added ultrasuede backing in matching color, pair of silver-plated earwires and, voila! - new pair of nice summer earrings in color of begonias in my small garden. :) Embroidered part is around 4 cm (1 5/8'') in diameter.

These look good on brunette, don't they?

xo,

Blue Blue Sky - Earrings

Eye catching summer earrings with blue agate cabochons and playful fringe. Sterling silver hooks and ultrasuede backing. Length from top of the hook till bottom of the fringe 9.5 cm (3 3/4'').

Chocolate 'n Raspberries Earrings

New pair of delicious summer earrings.

This time I'm also gonna show you short story of creation. Many people have been asking me about the process of bead embroidery, so, here is a sneak peak.
Hope that some day I'll be ready to prepare a master class with detailed explanations.

I apologize for the picture quality as we've had quite sad weather oven last couple of days.

And here is the ready item.

Enjoy your summer with strawberries and chocolate!
