Autumn Market Finds

Today we visited the Big Autumn Market that takes places every year in our local sport hall. Besides the regular tasty bread, candies and cheese, we also brought home some other treasures.

I found beautiful agate slabs and slices. I'm still wondering, how did I manage to limit myself to 5 pieces only. Usually I don't leave without at least half a kilo of stones. :) I'm planning to use them for rings and necklaces. The big black slice is almost 12 cm long. That's gonna be a challenge!

Then I also met very friendly and talkative elderly lady, who had a table full of felted gnomes. We chatted a bit and then I picked a gnome for myself. It's a very special Christmas gnome that will guard my cookie jar. It sits on a piece of wood and has the funniest white beard.

I also met my favorite vintage home decoration seller and couldn't resist buying this candy jar for the kitchen. While I was unpacking groceries, the jar got filled with candies and settled on the counter.

It was interesting and fun day. Buying handmade makes me happy every time, as besides the item itself you also get a lot of positive energy and happy thoughts!
Now it's tea time in our house. See you soon!
Hope that you also had a wonderful day!

Flea Market Find of the Year

This week Sophie of Her Library Adventures asked all of us to show the best finds of this year. There is even a competition going, so you can vote for your favorite find. It's a tough choice, as all of them are really great!

I've found many nice things this year and it's really hard to pick just one, so here are my top three finds of the year.

Vintage mink stole. So soft and luxurious that when I wear it I just don't want to take it off. I think I could even sleep in it. :)
The mannequin that we call Margaret was also a great find of this year.

Second great find I picked up this week. It's wooden candle holder in beautiful red brown color. It's nice and tall and it cost me ridiculous 1.5 eur (~2 usd). Great deal, isn't it?

And the third thing that I love and treasure is this beautiful brown suitcase. I use it for carrying my jewelry, when I visit my wonderful customers.

To see other amazing finds and vote for your favorite, visit Sophie.

Wishing you a great week and successful flea market shopping! ;)

We Swap!

In the beginning of this month I discovered one more fun place to swap all things handmade. It's We Swap blog created by two fellow etsians Uloni and Juliani. At We Swap you can find plenty of amazing handmade things that are free for exchange.

That's exactly where I found this wonderful brooch created by Polish artist Dagmara Buczek and offered to swap it for something from my Etsy store. I got lucky as she liked my Begonias in May earrings and we decided to go for it.

By some lucky accident (miracles and mysteries of postal services) we both received the packages today. And we both are very happy with the swap!

You can see it from my face. I'm enjoying the new brooch that is gonna cheer me up during these dark autumn days. :))

I hope Daga will also upload some pictures wearing the earrings any time soon. I'll definitely share them with you! ;)

UPDATE! And here it is - picture of Dagmara wearing the earrings.

If you haven't tried swapping yet, I must say that it's really fun and positive experience! I enjoyed it and I'm definitely gonna do it again!

I hope you are enjoying your Friday evening as much as I am! ;)

My Creative Space

It's been a bit slow week... I haven't been feeling very well... and my thoughts are still flying around sad things. That's why I decided to put my beading aside for a while and do some knitting. I love to knit and crochet, I just never have time for it.
Last week at My Creative Space Rita played "guess my knitwear" game. Looks like this week it's my turn. :))

Can you guess, what it's gonna be? ;)

And one more thing I wanted to share with you today is the most amazing pincushion I've ever held in my hands.
Look at this beauty!

I've decided to treat myself with something nice, as my birthday is coming up this weekend. So, yesterday I received this amazing pincushion with a vintage squirrel figurine. It's created by Rose Kepler from Pozey's Pincushion Place. Each of her pincushions is made with great attention to details and contains plenty of precious vintage treasures like figurines, buttons, beads... Take a look at her Etsy store! Maybe you will find your dream pincushion. ;)

To see other creative spaces and play along this week, visit Kirsty.

Wishing you a wonderful Thursday...

Mail's Here!

I received my first swap item from Candyapple via Swap workshop. It's a cute trinket dish. It's already on my makeup table filled with my favorite jewelry.

I also received whole bag of polymer clay face cabochons, and I can't wait to start creating with them! :)

Looks like a good start for the day! ;)

Monday Moodboard

Yesterday we had a small anniversary, and today I'm still in a bit romantic mood...

Broche mean - black Devil by ArtMind
Lace Shawl by LaimaShop
Custom wedding-anniversary portrait by Artistico
Heart - scented candle holder by kaleda

To see other Monday Moodboards, visit fleurfatale.

Here is a picture taken after our anniversary dinner yesterday.

I apologize for the quality, as it was quite late and dark, but I just wanted to brag about my new necklace. I think most of you will recognize the artist - Nancy van den Boom. Isn't the necklace gorgeous? And it goes perfectly with my dress. ;) My man gave it to me for our anniversary. Aren't I one lucky ducky? :))

Happy Monday, my lovelies! I hope you had a great weekend, too! ;)

Mouse No 3 has arrived :))

Actually, we call him Henry now. ;)

Everybody, please, meet Henry - the latest addition to our softy family.

Henry comes from a long line of colorful and happy Australian mice created by wonderful Hien of With Luv Clementine.
I won Henry in a great giveaway, where there were no losers. Everybody got a mouse from Hien. Isn't she great? ;)

He lives on my table now and has already adapted after the long flight.

Thank you so much, Hien! Your softies really bring joy and happiness to people!

Instead of Flea Market Finds

This week I didn't do my usual flea market shopping, but I was arranging some stuff in the bedroom and came across my grandma's crafting basket that she gave me two years ago just before she passed away. I haven't opened it since then, but now I decided that it's time.

I found many beautiful things carefully stored by my grandma. She loved all kinds of handworks. I would like to show you a beautiful coffee set made by my grandma Sofia.

I still need to wash and iron it carefully and then it will be in good use again. The set consists of one big table setting and six smaller coasters. And I love those cute embroidered roses.

I also discovered a bag full of vintage lace and ribbon. I think I could use it in my jewelry projects.

All these things brought up many warm memories full of love and sunshine that came from heart of a person.
I'm trying not to be sad, but it's been a weird day...

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

What a Postman Brought Me...

Today I received so many great things in the mail! Recently I've been lucky to win two giveaways, and both prizes arrived today! Yipppeee!

The first one arrived from Australia, from wonderful Karyn of Releases by Rufydoof.

I received three beautiful handmade glass cabochons. I was supposed to get only two, but Karyn was so kind and made one extra specially for me. I feel pampered! :)
Check out these beauties!

They are so cute I'm even afraid to touch them! Need to think carefully about the future design.

The other package I received today was a bit bigger. It came from lovely Traci of handmadehappiness.

As you can see, it's a lace making kit. I have no idea how it works, but there is a book included and I think I'm gonna figure it out! ;) Looks like a lot of fun!

Thank you, Karyn!
Thank you, Traci!
You are wonderful! These beautiful gifts made my day! I feel happy and thankful to be a part of such a great crafting blogger community!
