I would like to show you my latest bead embroidered pendant. Yes, it again has rubber figurine on it. :)
My man called it Schnappi pendant, but I think The Watch sounds more sophisticated.
Tiny rubber crocodile crawling on a beach stone from the Baltic sea. Also plenty of Japanese seed beads in various colors, natural turquoise beads and red glass beads from India. Faux leather backing, silk rope and small piece of driftwood collected in Finland. That's one crazy mix of materials! :)
Doesn't Schnappi have a mysterious look in his eye? :))
More details in my Etsy store.

I am speechless, because this is such an inspiring piece, Jana! Yes, schnappi has The Eye.
great design!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it, Jana! You have done an amazing job of bringing together so many different elements :-)
I love this - especially the addition of the driftwood. Schnappi does have a bit of a cheeky look in his eye too...
I am off to find some rubber animals this weekend so hopefully I can find some decent ones!

I forgot to mention - my son who is 4 has been collecting rocks for me saying I can use them in my beading. I just keep taking them as I don't have the heart to tell him I can't use them... but now seeing your gorgeous piece perhaps I can incorporate them in a design in some way.
Thank you, my lovelies!
This is so far one of my favorite pieces. I put a lot of thought in it. And the stone and piece of driftwood came from my favorite place in Kotka - park by the sea.
Karyn, good luck animal shopping! ;) Don't forget to tell me how it goes.
Natural stones could be really beautiful, just need to find flat ones, so the weight of the finished piece doesn't hurt the neck. :))
xoxo
Lovely and pretty color
